The Hyoid Bone
We will complete our tour of the body listen stations with the hyoid bone. The hyoid bone has far-ranging connections within the upper body and this hold is a great place to gain insights about the cervical spine, scapula, mandible, and temporal bones.
The Thoracic Diaphragm
Another station from which we can listen to the craniosacral system is the thoracic diaphragm. In this lesson we will review the position for this hold and continue our practice.
The Respiratory Diaphragm
The respiratory diaphragm station is a great place to practice listening to the flexion and extension of the craniosacral system. This hold presents us with the challenge of distinguishing between the respiratory movement of the lungs, and that of the craniosacral system.
The Pelvic Hold
The next listening station is the pelvic hold. It is a great hold for anyone with hip or lower back issues. In this lesson we will review the position for this hold and practice listening to the craniosacral system from this position.
